FarmLinks LLC recently announced the addition of Casey Cleghorn as the Experience manager of The Experience at FarmLinks, a source for “hands-on” golf course information where superintendents preview the industry’s most advanced technology, test the newest equipment and interact with some of the industry’s top professionals.
This new, relationship-oriented position creates an opportunity for FarmLinks to connect directly with the more than 1,200 golf course superintendents and golf professionals who visit Pursell Farms and FarmLinks Golf Club each year.
“We’re excited to have Casey on the team,” says Erle Fairly, president. “This position is essentially an ambassador for FarmLinks, and Casey will become the face of what our program means to visitors. Overall, his presence here as the Experience manager will enable us to make The Experience at FarmLinks even more individualized and meaningful for our guests and more beneficial for our corporate partners.”
A self-proclaimed golf addict and a native of Sylacauga, Ala., Cleghorn attended Auburn University and received his bachelor of science in business administration with a major in marketing. He has held several sales positions with the former Pursell Industries Inc., a national lawn and garden company, where he covered the Gulf Coast area, Louisiana, Florida and Southeast Texas, and was responsible for training, introducing new product lines, conducting seminars and opening new territories. Cleghorn has also worked for Playtex Products, Inc., Liberty Carpet Company and Premier Greetings Inc.
“I am thrilled to be a part of The Experience at FarmLinks,” Cleghorn stated. “It’s exciting to be involved with such an innovative marketing program that allows superintendents to have hands-on experiences in a real-world atmosphere. I’m also glad to have the opportunity to educate visitors about our partners’ products and their use in the efficient maintenance of a quality course. “
