Fairway Advisors has been retained as the exclusive advisor in the sale of Wild Oaks Golf Club located in Salem, N.J. and Mountain Laurel Golf Club in White Haven, Pa. and exclusive agent in the sale of Bear Creek Golf Club in Westminster, Md.
Wild Oaks is a 27 hole golf club located 30 minutes from Wilmington and 45 minutes from downtown Philadelphia. Fairway Advisors’ marketing of Wild Oaks will begin this week. Jeff Davis, President of Fairway Advisors, comments,
"Wild Oaks was acquired in July 2005 as part of a 17 golf course portfolio," says Jeff Davis, president of Fairway Advisors. "The golf course has historically recorded over 40,000 rounds per year. It is also located on 172 acres zoned PBR which allows residential development. Ownership believes it will be attractive to both golf course operators and regional developers”.
Davis adds he has received a large amount of interest from investors. He expects to receive multiple offers and to select a buyer by November.
Mountain Laurel is an 18 hole championship, semi-private club designed by Geoffrey Cornish.
“Mountain Laurel Golf Club is situated on 178 acres, 87 of which are zoned Commercial District and abut Interstate 80," Davis says. "The remainder of the property is zoned Resort Commercial District. Mountain Laurel’s improved conditioning and recent capital improvements make it an attractive golf course investment. The underlying zoning has also attracted real estate developers.”
Pure Golf, a golf management company based in Maryland, was hired to improve the golf course’s conditioning. “The golf course is in really good shape. However, a new owner may determine the property is better suited for an alternative use,” Davis says.
Davis adds he has received a large amount of interest from investors prior to marketing. He expects to receive multiple offers and to select a buyer by November.
Bear Creek is an 18 hole, par 71, semi-private club built in 1989. Fairway Advisors has been named for the marketing and negotiation of this sales transaction.
Bear Creek was acquired in July 2005 as part of the 17 golf course portfolio. "Ownership has been making improvements since they acquired Bear Creek," Davis says. "It had substantial deferred maintenance and required upgrades before it could be put on the market.”
Pure Golf, a golf management company based in Maryland, was hired to improve the golf course’s conditioning. “The course has vastly improved under the management of Pure Golf. Players are commenting about it being in the best shape they have ever experienced at Bear Creek. A new owner will have a turn key facility at a fraction of replacement cost,” Davis says.
Davis adds he has received a large amount of interest from investors prior to the marketing launch. He expects to receive multiple offers and to select a buyer by November.
