Ewing announced the opening of its 164th facility in Auburn, Wash. The company appointed Geoffrey Simpson as a manager of the new facility, located at 1805 Pike Street.

Previously, Simpson supervised Ewing's 136th branch in Tacoma, Wash. He has been part of the Ewing team for five years and will manage the new store with the help of Rick Perry.

"Excellent customer service is my top priority," said Simpson, who is looking forward to developing new relationships through training seminars. "We will be holding a lighting seminar in January and an irrigation troubleshooting seminar in March."

The store will offer additional seminars throughout the year. To find out more about the future seminar dates, customers can contact the branch at 253-333-9530.

Simpson earned a bachelor's degree in English from Washington State University. Additionally, he is a certified flight instructor and holds a commercial pilot rating. In his free time, Simpson enjoys reading, skiing, playing softball and spending time with his wife and three kids.

"I joined Ewing because I wanted to be part of a family-run business," Simpson said. "Working in a large corporation often makes people feel isolated. At Ewing, however, everybody is treated like a family member. That's a nice feeling."
