The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) recently welcomed its newest member to the Board of Directors.
Steve Zwilling, the Eastern U.S. market development manager for Profile Products, was unanimously voted to join the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the IECA, an organization with which he has been involved dating back to 1993. Zwilling, who lives in Mooresville, N.C., was added as a member at-large since he does not reside in a state that needed a specific state representative at the time.
His role will include educating people in the region about the IECA in an effort to drive membership and grow the chapter. He will also work with the 15-member board of directors to serve as an educational steward on job sites.
"It's a privilege to serve in an organization like the IECA that does so many important and beneficial things in our industry," Zwilling says. "At Profile, our whole team prides itself on being active and working with our colleagues across the industry, so this was a natural role for me to want to take part in."
Zwilling, who joined Profile Products in 2000, is also a past board member of the Erosion Control Technology Council (ECTC), and has been a volunteer instructor at several industry events including the IECA Muddy Water Blue's, NCSU Erosion Control Field Days and at several North Carolina Water Resource Workshops. He was also a prior owner/partner of the Conwed Fibers Corporation.
