EPIC Creative wins Telly Award

Firm earns Silver for their "Fargolf" piece.

The Telly Awards has named EPIC Creative as a Silver winner in the 33rd Annual Telly Awards for their piece titled, Fargolf. With nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, this is truly an honor.

EPIC also produces GCSAA TV and is the agency for a number of golf industry supplilers, such as T2G, Floratine and Precision Labs.

The Fargolf video was created in late summer, 2011, to promote the annual EPIC Creative golf outing. The video, a spoof on the Coen brothers’ 1996 cult-classic movie, Fargo, was filmed at The Mineshaft restaurant in Hartford, West Bend Country Club, the EPIC West Bend offices and at the home of Sandra Cashman, a partner at EPIC. The video may be seen at www.bit.ly/fargolf.

Each year, the Silver Telly Council, a panel of over 500 past Silver Telly Award winners, evaluates entries based on their distinction in creative work. The entries are judged against a high standard of merit, and less than 10 percent of the entries are chosen as winners of the Silver Telly, the group’s highest honor.

“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, executive director of the Telly Awards. “EPIC Creative’s accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill and dedication to their craft, and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”

Jim Becker, president and CEO of EPIC Creative said, “In my 30 years in the film and video production industry, I don’t think I have ever had such a great time on a shoot. Thanks to all of our employees for their hard work. Just about everyone had a hand in writing, filming, editing and acting in the Fargolf video, and their hard work has paid off big time!”
