Panorama Village, Texas – The Village Golf Club, managed by Billy Casper Golf, is offering an employee advantage program that allows local companies the opportunity to extend preferred rates discounts on greens and cart fees, pro shop merchandise, refreshments and dining to their workforces.
At no cost to the participating businesses, the employee advantage program acts as a benefit package companies can extend to their workers. There is also no cost for employees to enroll in the program.
More than 3,000 Houston-area workers with local organizations and businesses have registered and now have access to the program.
The Village Golf Club provides businesses with registration forms and signage detailing the availability of the program. Employees of participating companies simply present their registration form and a valid company ID at The Village to receive their employee advantage card good for the preferred rates and discounts.
“The Village Golf Club’s employee advantage program is an easy way for local companies to offer golfing benefits and savings to their employees,” says Billy Casper Golf regional vice president Bill Rehanek. “It costs nothing for businesses or their employees to take advantage of this offer and the program is a great way for The Village Golf Club to give back to the many wonderful companies and golfers in the Houston area.”
BCG, the nation’s fifth-largest golf course management firm, was selected to oversee course operations in March. The firm has been working on a number of facility enhancements including rebuilding and re-grassing several greens, remodeling the lounge and customer facilities, and the overall beautification of the entire club. Additionally, the newly remodeled banquet facility features a scenic overlook of the 18th fairway and seats 350 guests.
The Village Golf Club’s three nine-hole courses can be played in three 18-hole combinations, presenting golfers with a wide variety of options. The Winged Foot Course, with its narrow fairways and mid-size greens, is the longest of the three at 3,443 yards and features the most elevation change.
The Rolling Hills Course, sporting larger fairways and fast, small greens, is the most scenic of the three, with lakes coming into play on several holes on its 3,336-yard layout. The Thunnderbird Course presents golfers with narrow fairways and a set of par 5s that are reachable in two for the average player.
