Tampa, Fla. – Emerald Greens Golf & Country Club (formerly the Country Club of Carrollwood) opened its new Mediterranean-style clubhouse Nov. 1. The club includes a fine-dining restaurant, The Emerald Room, and the casual Terrace Bar & Grille.
The Clubhouse also features a fully stocked golf pro shop, ladies and men’s locker/card rooms, two banquet rooms, and a large terrace overlooking the newly reconstructed Cypress course, which features the golf course redesign work of Dan Maples Golf Course Design.
In addition to the new clubhouse, the recently redesigned and reconstructed nine-hole Cypress course opened recently. The club closed the course late 2004 to start a complete redo, featuring the design of Maples.
The next thing for members to look forward to will be the recreational clubhouse, tennis pro shop and pool opening, which the owners are hoping to open April 2006. This clubhouse will feature a day spa, a fitness center, kid care and The Oasis Grille. The outside area will feature a Junior Olympic-sized pool, a playground, a sport court and a large deck for outside events.
