The Environmental Institute for Golf, the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), has reached an agreement with Gelth Granite, distributor of high-quality granite yardage markers and golf course signage, that will result in the development and funding of environmental programs for the golf industry.
Twenty percent of Gelth Granite's individual granite yardage plate sales to golf facilities with a GCSAA member will now go to The Institute.
"We are providing golf courses with GCSAA members access to wholesale pricing on granite signage that enhances the facility's image while improving pace of play," says Terrence Hibbert, owner of Gelth Granite. "Golf course superintendents and owners will now be able to customize their yardage plates and tee blocks, at the same time directly supporting The Environmental Institute for Golf."
"We are pleased to partner with Gelth Granite," Teri Harris, GCSAA managing director of development, said. "The company has shown a strong commitment to the game and a desire to give back to it. We look forward to a longstanding relationship."
