DuPont Professional Products hired Bruce Steward, Ph.D., as product development manager for the turf and ornamental market. Bringing more than 25 years of industry experience, Steward will serve the Midwest and West territories in the U.S. and be responsible for conducting product development research studies with DuPont pipeline active ingredients.
Joining Chuck Silcox, Ph.D., DuPont’s product development manager for the turf and ornamental market, Steward also will provide technical service to the existing line of DuPont Professional Products: DuPont Acelepryn, DuPont Advion fire ant bait, Provaunt insecticide and TranXit herbicide.
“Bruce’s extensive field experience and strong academic credentials will support our expanding R&D efforts in the turf and ornamentals market,” says Mark Coffelt, global development manager for DuPont Professional Products. “His long-term relationships with university, industry and scientific communities will also play an important role as DuPont continues to create first-to-market herbicides, fungicides and insecticides that are both highly effective and environmentally sound.”
Steward is an accomplished field development and product manager with more than 25 years of experience in various aspects of agriculture, consumer and professional turf and ornamentals pest management and product technical support. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. from the University of Arkansas and earned his B.S. in Entomology from Oklahoma State University.
