Moline, Ill. – The latest 2005-06 Edition Deere Performance Handbook and CD-ROM package from John Deere Construction & Forestry Company now is available. The 2005-06 edition includes the latest equipment specifications for all current John Deere construction machines.
“The handbook and CD package have grown again this year to more than 600 pages,” says Peter Sebastian, of John Deere Construction & Forestry Company. “It’s easy to use and offers more information than ever to help our customers specify their machines.”
In addition to specs for excavators, articulated dump trucks, dozers, wheel and crawler loaders, backhoes and skid steers, the handbook includes formulas to estimate a customer’s owning and operating costs. The handbook also provides machine production estimating information for excavators, articulated dump trucks, wheel loaders and dozers. The production estimator gives cubic-yard estimates for various materials, a feature that is especially useful when specifying large machines.
The CD is an electronic version of the handbook with the addition of interactive production estimators and owning and operating cost estimators. It also includes recently updated John Deere equipment specifications that the experienced technician will find helpful, according to Sebastian.
“Each year we focus on ways to make the handbook a better resource for our customers,” Sebastian says. “This year we’ve included additional shipping weights and dimension information.”
The handbook package is available at any John Deere Construction & Forestry dealer. The CD-ROM disk requires MS Windows, a Web browser (Netscape or Internet Explorer), Acrobat Reader 4.0 or greater and Excel 2000 or greater software.
