Several deadlines are approaching for 2009 Canadian Golf Superintendents Awards, according to Golf News Now.
The deadline for the CGSA/Toro Environmental Achievement Award is Nov. 30. Nominees for this award will be judged on overall commitment to the environment and their demonstration of initiatives at their respective golf clubs and the golf industry at large. Submission of a specific environmental project engaged in by the person at his or her course or documentation of the Environmental Management Program the person has put in place is required.
The deadline for the 2009 Student Scholars Awards is also Nov. 30.
Deadlines are also approaching for the 2009 Gordon Witteveen GreenMaster Superintendent Authored Article of the Year and the GreenMaster Industry Authored Article of the Year.
