Thomas J. Schlick, CGCS, CPAg has joined The Davey Tree Expert Company’s Golf Maintenance division as Southeast division manager. He will focus on development of golf course maintenance projects and large grounds maintenance projects that are affiliated with golf developments throughout Florida and the southern United States.

Schlick has over 25 years of golf course and grounds maintenance experience, including over 17 years with Marriott International and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.
While with Marriott International Schlick served in various capacities including the corporate Director of Golf Grounds Operations with responsibility for dozens of Marriott International and Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company golf courses worldwide.

Schlick holds a B.S. degree in environmental horticulture from the University of Florida. He is a certified golf course superintendent and a certified professional agronomist. He is a member of the Golf Course Superintendent’s Association of America, the Florida Golf Course Superintendent’s Association, the United States Golf Association, the American Society of Agronomy, the Professional Grounds Management Society and the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association.
