Glenview, Ill. - Crown Golf Properties made an agreement with ABD Development to manage the golf operations for Providence Golf & Country Club, a 2,300-acre gated master planned community under development in Polk County, Florida.
In the first phase, ABD Development plans to build 86 single family homes priced from $500,000 and 250 town homes priced from $250,000. Construction has started on three model homes as well as the community’s 5,000-square-foot welcome center.
Crown will provide membership development, golf course and facility management, as well as strategic marketing services that will include the CrownClub membership and rewards program, a loyalty and membership program at the company’s five Florida courses.
Golf course architect Michael Dasher designed Providence’s semi-private, 18-hole championship golf course. From the championship tees, the course will play 7,001 yards, and from the forward tees, it will play 5,191 yards. The links-style layout is currently under construction and will open later this year.
Orlando architect Don Evans and The Evans Group designed the community’s 8,000-square-foot golf clubhouse, which will feature a golf shop, lounge and full-service restaurant with seating for as many as 200 guests.
Crown Golf Properties operates 18 courses throughout the country including six in Florida.
