Cowboys Golf Club in Texas adds GPS

The club also will participate in ProLink’s advertising program.

Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine, Texas, now features the ProStar GPS system and will participate in ProLink's national advertising program.

Located approximately 20 miles from downtown Dallas and Fort Worth, Cowboys Golf Club has been named the No. 1 daily-fee golf course in the Metroplex for seven consecutive years by AvidGolfer Magazine. Designed by architect Jeff Brauer and opened for business in 2001, Cowboys is the world's first and only NFL-themed club in the world.

"Cowboys Golf Club ranks among the Southwest's most unique courses and we believe that ProLink is a great way to deliver added value to our golfers," says Mark Aston, general manager of Cowboys Golf Club. "In addition to better serving our guests, the GPS systems will help us keep the pace of play steady, monitor our carts, and deliver a great tournament experience through the scoring software."

With ProLink's 10.4-inch high-resolution color screen, the cart-mounted units display dynamic, easy-to-read graphics including distances to the pin and hazards, pro tips, pace-of-play timer and radial arc for cart-path-only holes. Golfers will also be able to order food and beverage items on the ProLink screen.

The new system's memory stores up to 7,500 ads, generating incremental revenue through a larger sales inventory. Designed with a proprietary custom interface, ProLink Touch delivers cart-to-clubhouse communication for all purposes including two-way communications, golfer safety, food-and-beverage orders and pace-of-play alerts.
