The Joe Bartholomew Golf Course, once devastated by Hurricane Katrina came and saltwater from Lake Pontchartrain, now is teeming with life as a group of workers, architects, consultants and city officials all push toward a reopening of the historic course in 2010, nola.com reports.
The course, the first in the country designed by an African-American architect, is the key element in the re-development of the Pontchartrain Park neighborhood.
