Coral Hospitality announces general manager of the year

Arrowhead Golf Course's Mike Dopslaff is honored.

Naples, Fla. - Coral Hospitality named Mike Dopslaff General Manager of the Year. Dopslaff joined Coral Hospitality's Arrowhead Golf Club as general manager/director of golf in October of 2002.

After serving as head golf professional at Fiddlesticks County Club in Fort Myers, Dopslaff made his mark at Arrowhead by establishing beliefs in treating customers right and providing them with a comfortable place to play.

"My role at the club is to ensure a quality experience for our patrons," Dopslaff says. "We do this by retaining a motivated staff and by exceeding our customer's expectations in all areas."

Dopslaff credits the course's recent accomplishments - receiving the Naples Daily News "Star Award" for Naples Favorite Places To Play in 2004, and Best Public Golf Course in 2005 - to these beliefs being the mission of each staff member at the club.

"Mike brought to Arrowhead a calm, methodical process for establishing high standards and building trust among employees, club members and local residents," say Lee Weeks, Coral Hospitality's c.e.o. "His commitment to quality and consistent reliability has changed the direction of the club, and we are proud to honor him with this recognition."

Dopslaff also has served as the g.m. and head PGA pro at Lexington Country Club in Fort Myers and managed the Country Club of Ozark in Alabama. He has worked with PGA of America in several roles as a committee chairman and member, and has shared his expertise of the game serving as a PGA teaching professional at numerous clubs, including Essex County Club in Manchester, Mass., and Foxfire Country Club in Naples, Fla. As an avid golfer, he has been honored four times as the Southwestern Chapter of the South Florida PGA "Player of the Year" in 1985, 1986, 1993 and 1995.

Arrowhead Golf Club opened in the spring of 1998 and was designed by architect Gordon G. Lewis.
