The expansion includes a Stabilized Nitrogen Technology Granulation Production Center (SNTGPC), with a plant capacity of 125,000 st, and a new St. Louis Urea Center store facility.

“The plant will be at the core of our expansion plans, and will profile a consistent and uninterrupted supply of high-quality, stabilized nitrogen products," explains Mike Stegmann, president of AGROTAIN International. “This expansion is a clear signal that we are committed to fulfilling the expanding markets for stabilized nitrogen products.”

The SNTGPC utilizes a Falling Curtain Technology for enhanced quality control and production efficiency. AGROTAIN products sold worldwide, such as SuperU, UMAXX and UFLEXX, will be manufactured at the SNTGPC facility. AGROTAIN technology now approaches five percent market share in North America, and demand is growing as farmers move towards more efficient nitrogen fertility programs.

When completed, the St. Louis Urea Center will add 60,000 st of fertilizer to Lange-Stegmann's existing 80,000 st of dry and 15,000 st of liquid storage. Lange-Stegmann is a wholesale distributor and currently handle up to 400,000 st of products annually. The expansion is expected to increase handlings up to 1 million st. The new project will be completed in the summer of 2007.
