The NGCOA, GCSAA and Southern California Golf Association have unveiled the schedule for the 2023 Colorado Basin Golf & Water Summit. Scheduled for Oct. 12 at the Vdara Hotel & Spa in Las Vegas, the one-day event is designed to offer education for owners, operators, managers, superintendents and others coping with water issues in the region.
The event begins at 8:30 a.m. PDT and includes panel discussions about state and federal policies, short- and long-term best management practices, the impact of reduced water usage and communicating conservation strategies to golfers. Water-related research updates will also be provided.
Anthem (Nevada) Country Club director of agronomy James Symons, Red Ledges (Utah) Golf Club director of agronomy Pat Christoffer, Mountain Vista (California) Golf Club director of agronomy Tyler Thurman and Desert Highlands (Arizona) director of agronomy Curtis Tyrrell are participating on panels.
