Color added to Profile topdressing

Profile Products LLC is expanding its product line to include emerald green topdressing materials for both sand-based and native turfs.

Buffalo Grove, Ill. – Profile Products LLC is expanding its product line to include emerald green topdressing materials for both sand-based and native turfs. The new products, Profile Greens Grade Emerald and Profile Field & Fairway Emerald, offer superintendents agronomic benefits to promote the long-term health and appearance of their courses.

Always great for topdressing on sand-based putting greens and tees, Profile’s Greens Grade is now available in a new emerald color for better aesthetics. Greens Grade Emerald is a porous ceramic topdressing material in a rich, green color that helps disguise worn areas until new turf grows back. Greens Grade Emerald hides mid-season DryJect or aerification holes and adds color and strength to turf on bunker faces and green walk up areas. It even works well in removing ice from putting green surfaces. Greens Grade is still available in a natural color for construction and renovation use. It works continuously in the soil to retain nutrients and absorb water to prevent soil compaction and soggy spots.

Profile’s Field & Fairway Emerald, a larger porous ceramic counterpart to Greens Grade Emerald, is ideal for native soil topdressing applications on fairways and tee boxes. Field & Fairway Emerald helps camouflage worn areas with its rich, emerald color, prevents muddy conditions and helps turf survive under intense traffic, such as during golf tournaments and other events. Field & Fairway is also available in a natural color for construction and renovation use. When used in fairway capping, Field & Fairway Natural adds porosity to the root zone and provides a balance of air and water pore space that increases drainage and aids in the prevention of soil compaction.

Tested on thousands of greens and at major turfgrass universities across the country, Profile Porous Ceramic (PPC) products have been proven to increase soil oxygen, resist compaction, eliminate localized dry spots, drain better and facilitate healthy root systems that leave turf less prone to disease. As part of a new greens mix or used in a topdressing program, PPC has proven to be more effective than peat or other inorganic amendments at increasing air and water pore space and enhancing nutrient uptake without breaking down.
