ClubCorp to develop and manage 12 Oaks Country Club in Holly Springs, N.C.

The club will feature an 18-hole Nicklaus Design golf course.

ClubCorp has entered into an agreement with 12 Oaks LLC to provide development assistance and long-term management of 12 Oaks Country Club, an 18-hole private golf club in Holly Springs, Wake County, N.C.

Construction is now under way on the 18-hole Nicklaus Design, set to open in late summer to early fall 2007. Plans for the approximately 15,000-square-foot clubhouse, slated to open in 2008, include a main dining room, a bar and grill, and covered verandas. Other amenities at the club will include six lighted Har Tru tennis courts, junior Olympic-size swimming pool, family pool, and fitness center.

Through the agreement, ClubCorp provides membership development and marketing services, facility development consultation, and full management services. Membership offerings for 12 Oaks will be available in late 2006.

"We are excited to be involved in the 12 Oaks project," says John Beckert, ClubCorp c.e.o. and president. "This club will make a great addition to our portfolio of clubs and will also enhance the Triangle Society benefits already offered to our members in the Raleigh area."

The club, located approximately 15 miles southwest of Raleigh, will be the centerpiece of 12 Oaks residential golf course community, a to-be-developed subdivision comprised of 1,300-1,400 single-family homes, townhouses, and apartment units being developed by Wakefield Development Company. Holly Springs currently is one of the fastest growing towns in North Carolina.

"Wakefield Development Company is excited about partnering with ClubCorp and Nicklaus Design Group to create what will be one of the premier golf communities in North Carolina," says John Myers, president of Wakefield Development Company. "ClubCorp brings a level of amenity management experience that will be integral in helping us achieve the lifestyle experience we are looking for in 12 Oaks."

Other ClubCorp properties in the area include Capital City Club and Cardinal Club, both in downtown Raleigh; Devils Ridge Golf Club in Holly, Lochmere Golf Club in Cary; and Neuse Golf Club in Clayton.
