The Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) is set to further develop its educational programs and qualifications thanks to a new premier corporate partnership agreement with club management software specialists, Jonas Software.
The CMAE, whose new Certified Club Manager (CCM) program is the first internationally recognized professional qualification for club managers in Europe, has signed a two-year agreement with Jonas, whose software is used by more than 1,800 members’ clubs worldwide.
“Jonas Software is a worldwide leader in club management software and its support will enable the CMAE to further develop our CCM programme across Europe,” says Jerry Kilby, CMAE c.e.o. “Jonas has been our most loyal supporter since our early days in 2002, and we are very grateful for their continued commitment through to the end of 2009. It is thanks to their support, and our other corporate partners that we have been able to grow to the point where we can now offer more than 2,500 managers in 17 countries the opportunity to gain a globally recognised qualification in club management.”
Patrick Arkeveld, director of international operations at Jonas, says: “At Jonas we believe that education is an integral part in ensuring the future of the CMAE and the Club Industry and we are proud to help fund this initiative. Over the past six years we have seen the CMAE grow tremendously and are delighted to be a part of it.”
