Cleary Chemical Co. announced personnel changes in two positions at the company: Pedro Perdoma was hired as director of research and regulatory affairs and Bill Cunningham was promoted to director of marketing.
Perdoma will be responsible for all aspects of product research as well as Federal regulatory affairs concerning the turf and ornamental industry.
Most recently, Perdoma was the Morris County, N.J., Agricultural Agent for Rutgers University Cooperative Extension, where he was responsible for commercial turf, nursery and greenhouse production as well as bilingual horticultural training.
Since beginning his career in 1996 as the technician for the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Woody Ornamental Specialist, Perdoma has held positions on several association boards, including the New Jersey Turfgrass Association Board of Directors, Rutgers Turf Field Days' committee and the County College of Morris Landscape Curriculum Advisory Board. He’s also received many awards in his field, including a 2004 State FFA Honorary Degree and the 2002 Rutgers Cooperative Extension Diversity Award.
Perdoma received a Masters in Turfgrass Management from Rutgers University and currently resides in New Jersey.
Cunningham began his career at Cleary Chemical in 2005 as sales coordinator where he was responsible for managing all daily activities of the Cleary sales force across the country.
In his new role, Cunningham will manage all outside marketing efforts including directing all advertising efforts with outside agencies, gathering, assessing, developing and tracking industry information to help Cleary better support their customers and sales force, writing and implementing sales programs as well as analyzing sales and distribution numbers. He will also oversee the company website and plan and organize all company educational seminars, webinars and promotional events.
Cunningham holds a degree in business economics from Rutgers University and currently resides in New Jersey.
