Billy Casper Golf selected to manage Indiana course

Centennial Park Golf Course rests on reclaimed landfill in northwest part of state.

Billy Casper Golf has been unanimously selected by the Munster Parks and Recreation Board to manage Centennial Park Golf Course in Munster, Ind.

Overseeing all facets of the daily-fee operation 30 miles south of Chicago, BCG will direct course and property maintenance; marketing, public relations and sales; staffing and training; merchandising; golf instruction; and financial management. BCG was also tapped to manage Centennial Park’s “The View” restaurant and banquet facility.

“Centennial Park is our crown jewel,” says Dan Repay, President of the Munster Parks and Recreation Board. “Billy Casper Golf’s professionalism, eye for detail and progressive operating platform will help create unforgettable family experiences for residents and guests.”

Spread across 220 acres of reclaimed landfill, Centennial Park is an eco-friendly facility with an array of amenities ideal for family entertainment. Opened in 2009, its nine-hole, 3,300-yard, par-36 golf course was designed by Tim Nugent and features unique elevation changes, four sets of tees, wide fairways, rugged bunkers and undulated greens. A popular practice facility includes an all-grass driving range and putting green.

“Centennial Park is a remarkable example of environmental responsibility,” says Peter Hill, chairman and CEO of BCG. “In addition to upholding agronomic best practices, we are laser focused to acquire new golfers, including families, and event planners for incremental revenue and long-term customer value.”
