CBRE completes portfolio sale

Five courses located in the greater Jacksonville, Fla., area

With the recent sale of The Golf Club at North Hampton, CBRE’s Golf & Resort Group announced the successful completion of a five-course portfolio sale in the greater Jacksonville area for their client Crescent Resources.

The Golf at North Hampton is a semi-private golf club that anchors a 700-acre master-planned community just west of Amelia Island in Fernandina Beach, Florida.  The Scottish links-style course was designed by Arnold Palmer and features wild grasses, sand dunes and man-made bridges.  The club was purchased by Hampton Golf, who had been managing the property.

The Club at Osprey Cove is an upscale, private country club three miles north of the Florida state line in St. Marys, Georgia. Amenities include multiple clubhouses, overnight accommodations and a championship golf course designed by Mark McCumber. Osprey Cove sold in June 2012 and the transaction included 156 finished lots and a six-acre commercial tract.

The Golf Club at South Hampton anchors a 900-acre master-planned community in St. Augustine, Florida.  The golf course was designed by Mark McCumber and is complemented by a 10,000 square foot clubhouse.

Grand Haven Golf Club anchors one of the premier private golf communities on the Intracoastal Waterway in Palm Coast, Florida.  The featured amenity is a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course that was named one of the “Top 100 Golf Courses in North America” by LINKS magazine.

The Grand Club is comprised of three golf courses (and three clubhouses) situated within a five-mile radius in Palm Coast, Florida.  Arnold Palmer designed both the Pine course and the Matanzas course (which closed in 2009), while Gary Player designed the Cypress course.
