The Carolinas GCSA has generously donated $5,000 to the GCSAA Foundation, the philanthropic organization of the GCSAA, to support the  Col. John Morley Centennial Campaign.

GCSAA will turn 100 on Sept. 13, 2026, and it has embarked on a Centennial fundraising campaign to establish a new endowment honoring GCSAA’s founder, Col. John Morley, with a goal of raising $1 million to fund new and innovative initiatives for the next 100 years.

The Carolinas GCSA is supporting the Centennial Campaign at the Chapter Legacy Leader Level, which recognizes donations of $5,000 or more. The GCSAA-affiliated chapter continues its membership in the Foundation’s Platinum Tee Club, which recognizes organizations that donate $5,000 or more annually to the GCSAA Foundation. It is also recognized at the Presidential Club level in the Foundation’s Cumulative Giving Program for donors that have contributed between $100,000 and $249,999 since 1987.

“As our largest affiliated chapter, the Carolinas GCSA continues to be a leader in supporting the future of the industry and the game,” GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans said. “We are thankful to the Carolinas GCSA for their gift to the Centennial Campaign.”

Carolinas GCSA is one of the 94 GCSAA-affiliated chapters in North America. Founded in 1954, it provides its members the opportunity to excel professionally and enhance the game of golf through responsible turfgrass management.

“The Carolinas GCSA is proud to support this campaign.  We all agree the next century and our future leaders are what matter the most, and we support the GCSAA in their endeavors to grow and support this wonderful industry,” Carolinas GCSA president Brian Green said.
