The Carolinas show has continued to grow through the last few years – even knocking out some of the cafeteria space to make room for exhibitors. Here are a few reasons why superintendents keep showing up.
“Just the educational opportunities, and also just to see friends. But there’s so much education here. I’m also looking at some fixtures – things for tee boxes, flags. I checked out the Bermudagrass management seminar, since we may have a conversion down the road.”

“The variety of the education, and what they offer. Every year is different. Even if the classes look the same, the education changes every year. I took the ‘assistant to superintendent’ seminar, and I picked up some tips that should help me out there. For the show, it’s seeing new things, talking to our vendors and getting to network.”

“It’s the best show in the country. I have a lot of friends here, there are the best pros, and the best education. I took the bentgrass basics seminar. We’re mostly centered on bentgrass, not looking to do a conversion anytime soon – kind of a dying breed. We’re just trying to focus on getting better at what we do there. There are some projects we’re looking at, that I’m checking out here, maybe looking at some equipment. Probably projects first, like bunkers.”

“I’m here for the education, mainly. I took the fungicides class yesterday, and a pesticide class today. I’m also here to socialize and for fellowship, and to see the latest products. But it’s always good to get everybody together. Probably one of the best trade shows, minus the nationals.”

“I come for education – this year I took the Bermudagrass seminar, which is pretty pertinent to our course. We’re always looking for any advancements, and trying to keep up with the trends.”
