A greenkeeper responsible for the upkeep of the Carnoustie links golf course - where the 2007 Open Championship was held - has been handed the job of tending to Donald Trump's new flagship course at the Menie Estate in Aberdeen.
After more than 18 years of service at Carnoustie Golf Links, former assistant superintendent Paul O'Connor, 42, has been appointed links superintendent for Trump International Golf Links, Scotland.
Mr O'Connor studied greenkeeping at Elmwood College in the early 1990's, and rose quickly to head greenkeeper at Carnoustie.
By 1996 he was running all aspects of the championship course.
