Bunker liner supplier Capillary Bunkers hired Cory Blair as its new sales and business development manager for the Southeastern United States.
Blair, who started with Capillary in February, previously sold the firm’s solution while working for Ewing Irrigation. Based out of Atlanta, Blair has worked more than three decades in the golf industry, including 10 as a golf course superintendent. He graduated from Auburn University with a degree in agronomy and soils.
“Coming to work for Capillary Bunkers was a natural fit for me,” Blair said. “It is a terrific product, very well researched and with a great reputation.” The product, he said, “allows superintendents to use their labor resources in much better, more creative ways.”
“As someone who worked on golf courses, I like being able to help superintendents,” he said. “I see Capillary Bunkers as an everyman product: although it’s high-spec, it is still affordable to little mom-and-pop courses, because they can install it in-house as resources allow. My first day on the job, I was on a plane to Arkansas, visiting a small course that plans to install the product bit-by-bit, basically a couple of bunkers at a time. Being able to help courses like that really makes me happy.”
Blair’s territory includes Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee among other states.
