Camp Creek Golf Club announced it will offer a "Day with a Pro" signature series golf package that includes lessons with one of Camp Creek's PGA professionals, up to 36 holes on its award-winning, Tom Fazio designed layout, dinner at Fish Out of Water and a three-night stay at the WaterColor Inn or WaterColor and WaterSound Beach vacation rentals.
"Day with a Pro" is designed to provide guests with the perfect balance of one-on-one instruction and enjoyment. The lesson day takes place from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and features a short game session consisting of putting, chipping and bunker play, as well as full swing instruction. Lessons are followed by a nine or 18-hole round at Camp Creek (guests' choice) and a summary session on the practice tee. Both single golfers and couples are welcome, and lunch and refreshments are provided.
"We believe it is important to emphasize instruction as a means to enhancing guests' overall experience," says Will Hopkins, general manager of Camp Creek. "Playing better bolsters enjoyment of the game and that leads to the retention of more golfers. The 'Day with a Pro' package is an excellent way for guests to receive instruction without sacrificing time spent playing the golf course."
Under the three-night stay format, guests arrive at Camp Creek Golf Club the morning of the second day. They are greeted by their instructor immediately upon arrival, and their clubs are taken from the shuttle or rental car and set up on a cart. In order to ascertain overall experience level and short and long-term goals, the instructor spends the first 15-20 minutes engaging guests in an informal information exchange prior to the start of the lesson day. After completion of the program, theory is put into practice on day three via a recreational 18 holes at Camp Creek.
