Calusa Country Club, a new Gordon Lewis-designed 18-hole golf course in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, opened for public play earlier this month.
Calusa Country Club is a Lennar Homes development, and part of the award-winning Lakewood Ranch community.
Lewis seamlessly incorporates elevation changes and contours in the 18-hole championship layout. The new course features TifEagle greens, Bimini fairways, and white sand bunkers. Water comes into play on all 18 holes, providing both challenge and visual appeal. Additional golf amenities include an aqua range and a short game practice area. Future golf amenities include a putting course and a 12-hole course, which will also be designed by Lewis.
“We are beyond thrilled to announce the opening of Calusa Country Club, a stunning Gordy Lewis design,” Calusa Country Club director of golf Dylan Wright said. “With his visionary touch, we’re bringing a one-of-a-kind golfing experience to life and we can't wait to welcome guests.”
The course is open to public play.
