Bull’s Bridge Golf Club appoints new director of membership sales

Edmund G. Shannon, Jr. named director of membership sales for Bull’s Bridge Golf Club in South Kent, Conn.

Ed G. Shannon, Jr. was named director of membership sales for Bull’s Bridge Golf Club in South Kent, Conn. a Tom Fazio-designed, 18-hole private club that opened in 2003.

Shannon was formerly employed by Byron Nelson - Nationwide as the northeast  regional sales manager and as an outside sales representative for Callaway Golf Company. He served as a managing director for Studley, Inc., a leading commercial real estate services firm and as a loan officer for Greenwich Home Mortgage.

Much of Shannon’s time has been devoted to coaching and teaching youth sports. He has served as a volunteer boys’ varsity soccer coach for Chatham High School in Chatham, N.J., a junior golf instructor for the Nike Golf Camp at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California and a junior golf instructor for Chelsea Piers in New York.

Shannon was a member of the 1997 and 1998 Stoddard Cup and Compher Cup teams, comprised of the top 12 amateur golfers in New Jersey. He also served as an assistant golf professional at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, N.J. in 1997.

A graduate of Seton Hall University, in South Orange, N.J., Shannon earned a BA in Communications. He was captain of Seton Hall men’s golf team and served as executive secretary for the Seton Hall Pirates Varsity Club.

He resides in Chatham, N.J.

Bull’s Bridge Golf Club is a high end, member-owned facility with nearly 200 members.   Currently, the 390 acres include 18 holes, a world-class practice facility and a 2700 square foot clubhouse. Bull’s Bridge membership is comprised of mainly New York City residents who spend weekends at their second homes in Litchfield County.
