Broyhill turns 60

Broyhill Inc. is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.  Roy and Arline Broyhill started the Broyhill Company in March of 1946. Their first products were equipment built to spray 2,4-D on agricultural crops. In the 1960’s, Broyhill expanded its market to product lines to include turf-spraying equipment for golf courses, parks and municipalities.

Broyhill has private labeled equipment for Cushman, E-Z-Go, Toro, John Deere, Graepel, Gravely-Ariens, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Daihatsu, Tractor Supply, Montgomery Ward, Standard Oil plus many more.

Broyhill manufactured 6,000 sprayers for Cushman over a 28-year partnership to gain a dominant lead in sprayers for the golf market and 3,700 sprayer units for Yamaha for the industrial/home acreage industry.

Today, Broyhill continues to maintain a complete manufacturing facility including administrative, engineering, production, sales and marketing as well as doing joint ventures with several foreign firms. “It is now more important than ever to be a global competitor to succeed.
