Broadmoor's director recognized by PGA

Russ Miller was recognized by the Colorado Section PGA as a member of the PGA of America's president's council for growth of the game in 2004.

Colorado Springs, Colo. -- The Broadmoor's director of golf, Russ Miller, was recognized by the Colorado Section PGA as a member of the PGA of America's president's council for growth of the game in 2004, according to PGA executive director Darrell Bock. Recognition in the council is reserved only for those PGA members who distinguish themselves as leaders and who have impacted the industry in a positive matter by setting a level of service to the game that exceeds the average.

Miller joined The Broadmoor as director of golf in May 1998 after serving for seven years as director of golf at Landfall Club in Wilmington, N.C. Miller oversees all golf-related activities at The Broadmoor including tournament management, instructional programs, membership activities, staff training, retail operations, as well as the locker room and valet operations.

A member of the PGA, Miller has been the recipient of the 2000, 2001 and 2003 Colorado PGA Merchandiser of the Year Award, the 2003 P.G.A. National Merchandiser of the Year Award and the Colorado Hall of Fame award for Golf Person of the Year in 2004.
