Mutual of Omaha Drive, Chip & Putt, presented by the Golf Channel, the world’s largest junior golf skills competition, will swing into the Chicago area to host a local championship at Bolingbrook Golf Club July 29.
Taking place at 1 p.m., the local championship is a free golf skills competition for junior golfers of all golfing abilities between the ages of 7-14. Participants will be divided into four age divisions competing in three competitions: driving, chipping and putting. The top three combined rankings in each age group will qualify for regional championship competition with the opportunity to advance to the National Championships in September.
Now in its ninth year owned and operated by the Golf Channel, the Mutual of Omaha Drive, Chip & Putt junior golf program provides a positive, fun experience for kids regardless of their previous golf experience. With the help of Mutual of Omaha, Comcast, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Rixstine Recognition and Service by Air, the program has touched nearly 100,000 junior golfers and their families since the tournament’s inception in 1999.
