Bobby DiPadua named GM of new Hopkinton Golf Pavilion

The state-of-the-Art golf practice and entertainment property opens June 17.

Rhode Island native Bobby DiPadua, a noted golf property manager, has been named General Manager of the new Hopkinton Golf Pavilion in Hopkinton, Rhode Island.  The 64-acre golf practice and entertainment property, scheduled to open June 17, is considered to be the only such facility of its kind in the northeast, and perhaps the country in terms of quality and value.

DiPadua most recently served as National Sales Manager for Innovex Golf Company in Kansas City, a custom golf club manufacturer, where he created innovative sales and marketing campaigns.  Prior to that, he was vice president of operations/golf course management for F.C.G./Triggs Golf Course in Providence, R.I., for 15 years.  There he was responsible for the day-to-day activities of six public golf courses and a driving range in Massachusetts and Florida.

DiPadua also spent four years as Head Golf Professional for Foster Country Club in Foster, Rhode Island.

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in business management from Rhode Island College.  He is a member of the United States Golf Teachers Association, New England Public Golf Course Association, New England Contractors Association and the Providence Chamber of Commerce.  He and his family reside in Coventry, R.I.

The Hopkinton Golf Pavilion, located on the Connecticut border, features an all-grass two-tier driving range elevated 60 feet above the fairway, a par 3 practice hole, a chipping area, a putting green where golfers can practice all aspects of the game, including fairway bunkers, side hill lies and high grass, Ben Jackson's New England Golf Academy, a miniature golf course, and The Golf Pavilion Restaurant & Sports Bar.

"We're very excited to have Bobby on board as our General Manager because his local and international golf expertise demonstrates our commitment to having the finest golf practice and entertainment facility possible,” says Joseph Rando, president of Land Development Northeast, Inc., co-owner of the project.  “He is a tremendous asset to our team that includes leaders in golf course construction and training."
