The City of Rome (Ga.) has unanimously voted to extend its partnership with Billy Casper Golf for the company to manage Stonebridge Golf Club.
Under BCG management since 2003, innovative programs and special events helped increase annual revenues by nearly 20 percent. Stonebridge’s player development program features free range balls and discounted rates to attract new golfers. Weekly leagues, couples and ladies nights, the Fed-Ex Cup-style “Stonebridge Cup,” and a new junior membership complementing the several popular offerings also contribute to the club’s record satisfaction rating and reputation as the main hot spot for all things golf.
“Billy Casper Golf has created the ultimate, family-friendly atmosphere by relentlessly pushing the bar in service standards,” said Sammy Rich, city manager of Rome. “Here’s to another prosperous decade of families enjoying the best golf experience in the area.”
“Our work is never done at Stonebridge Golf Club,” said Tony Cianci, senior vice president of BCG. “Together with the City, we are investing in this amazing facility to be home to countless, wonderful memories for generations to come.”
City-led projects with contributions from BCG have greatly enhanced Stonebridge’s course conditions. A complete conversion of greens to Champion Bermudagrass has produced the smooth putting surfaces while extensive bunker renovations amplified playability and overall appeal.
Stonebridge also introduced FootGolf in 2015. The popular golf-soccer hybrid attracted new audiences and created meaningful incremental income for the course.
