ProLink Solutions will install the ProLink GPS system at 12 additional courses managed by Billy Casper Golf (“BCG”).
BCG already uses ProLink GPS at four of its operations, one with 36 holes. That brings the total to 17 eighteen-hole equivalents and 306 holes in all. Under the multi-year agreement, ProLink Solutions becomes BCG’s preferred GPS provider for managed properties and exclusive provider for owned properties.
These properties are located in key advertising markets, and ProLink has retained the exclusive ownership of 61 percent of available inventory, with rights to purchase the remaining advertising inventory.
Co-founded by golf legend Billy Casper, BCG owns and operates a collection of daily-fee courses in 22 states across America. ProLink’s GPS system features screens mounted on roofs of golf carts showing ball-to-hole distances and other information to enhance golfers’ playing experiences.
“Billy Casper Golf is constantly paving the way in the industry to even better service golfers and enhance their experiences, streamline operations and ensure course profitability. The ProLink system helps us achieve these goals,” says Joe Goodrich, Senior Vice President of BCG. “After an extensive national search for a GPS supplier, we concluded ProLink to be superior.”
“Billy Casper Golf has emerged as an innovative and progressive force for emphasizing a customer-centric business model while embracing new technology," says Danny Lam, president of ProLink Solutions. "This partnership further solidifies the ProLink system as a necessity for course owners to drive net operating income while providing a premium player amenity.”
BCG’s properties join a roster of renowned courses with ProLink GPS, including 2006 Ryder Cup host the K Club (Ireland), Presidents Cup site Fancourt Hotel and Country Club Estate (South Africa), the Resort Course at La Cantera in San Antonio, home of the PGA TOUR’s Valero Texas Open, and world-class destinations including the Four Seasons Resort Aviara (California), Four Seasons Golf Club Resort at Terre Blanche (France) and Ka’anapali Resort (Hawaii).
With 180 golf courses installing, upgrading or renewing their leases on the system, ProLink Solutions enjoyed a record 2007. This marks the largest single-year expansion in the company’s history and a 17.6-percent increase from the 153 courses installed the previous 12 months.
ProLink’s system is now featured at more than 700 golf properties on five continents. More than 550 of these courses are equipped with media-ready systems to support on-screen advertisements worldwide. ProLink recently entered an exclusive partnership with ABC New Media Sales to deliver national advertising on The ProLink Network that reaches more than 12 million golfers annually. Through its ProFit program, ProLink is responsible for on-screen ad sales, and courses share these revenues.
