Billy Casper Golf operating California municipal course

A name change, course and range enhancements, and customer service are the first order of business at the former Brea Municipal Golf Course.

Formerly known as Brea Municipal Golf Course, Billy Casper Golf ("BCG") today announces it now operates the nine-hole executive layout and is changing the name to Brea Creek Golf Course, in addition to focusing on an array of enhancements to the well-situated Orange County facility.

James Spooner is the new general manager at Brea Creek and comes to the course from the popular and nearby Birch Hills Golf Course, where he enjoyed great success as assistant GM.

Known for creating outstanding golfing experiences for guests, BCG's team is making customer service a key priority. With a friendly, attentive and well-trained staff, an improved appearance of the facilities and a commitment to satisfying local golfers, the improvements at Brea Creek will be noticed right away.

Enhancements to the course and driving range are also under way. BCG has started with new range balls and mats, and the staff is working on course conditions and other capital projects, as well. BCG has an excellent reputation for maintaining layouts nicely and the firm will bring its course conditioning expertise to Brea Creek. Golfers will see a difference in the look and playability of the course and driving range.

In addition to course improvements and better service, Brea Creek will also enjoy a pro shop with an array of brand-name clubs and apparel.

Brea Creek now also has a new 24/7 reservation system and a Web site – www.golfbrea.com – will be up and running in a few weeks.

"Brea Creek Golf Course is in a prime location and Billy Casper Golf will strive to enhance course conditions and the golfing experience for our guests," says BCG regional vice president Tom Barrett.

Player development efforts – including junior programs, golf instruction and clinics for women – will also be an important priority for BCG. A player-friendly layout, Brea Creek Golf Course also caters to an active community of senior golfers.
