Vienna, Va. - At an annual meeting held in Atlanta, Billy Casper Golf recently honored a dozen superintendents for their superlative efforts maintaining course conditions at golf facilities located across the United States managed by the firm.
An industry leader in achieving golfer satisfaction, this is the second year that BCG has honored its superintendents. The firm has established annual awards for its agronomic all-stars because quality and consistent conditions are uniquely important to the playing experience during golf rounds.
"Every region of the country took home at least one superintendent award this year," says BCG chairman and c.e.o. Peter Hill. "The winners, as well as those nominated, demonstrate the breadth and depth of talent BCG has assembled to deliver the superior conditions course owners and golfers expect."
Greg Dubois, who oversees the agronomic operations at the Wintonbury Hills in Connecticut, won the Superintendent of the Year award. Designed by Pete Dye, Wintonbury Hills strives to deliver the consistently outstanding course conditions important to golfers, many of whom travel great distances to play the celebrated facility.
"Greg excelled in all aspects of managing conditions at Wintobury Hills," says BCG vice president and director of agronomy Bryan Bielecki. "His performance exemplifies what we look for from our superintendents."
