Hurricanes Harvey and Irma left a trail of devastation with countless golf facilities having significant damage that will take months to repair. Equally, if not more important, are the GCSAA members whose lives have been altered. Homes were damaged or destroyed and personal possessions lost.
In times such as this, the GCSAA Disaster Relief Fund is critical in ensuring GCSAA members who need help get it. Developed after Hurricane Katrina in 2006, the fund is designed to provide assistance to members personally affected by natural disasters.
Better Billy Bunker has announced a matching program for those wanting to show their support for GCSAA members through the Disaster Relief Fund. BBB will match the first $10,000 in individual donations made to the fund.
“The golf community is a tight knit family and during times of tragedy, family steps up for one another,” the company said in a statement. “We encourage all those within our industry to donate to the GCSAA Disaster Relief Fund where every penny will go directly to GCSAA members in need.”
