The new interactive digital sessions are designed to support professionals at every stage of their career, offering practical tools and insights to help participants build confidence and become effective leaders. Covering personality styles, decision-making, change management, delegation and navigating challenging conversations, each class is delivered online at 3 p.m. GMT (11 a.m. ET) and lasts up to 90 minutes.
Schedule of courses:
- October 14: Exploring personality styles for meaningful communication
- October 28: Unlocking proven techniques for leading change
- November 11: How to delegate with confidence
- December 2: Essential skills to navigate difficult conversations
- December 16: Making bold, confident decisions that stick
“We’re excited to bring online classes that reflect the real challenges and opportunities faced by today’s turf professionals,” Bernhard Academy education director Sami Strutt said. “These sessions are designed to be practical, engaging, and immediately applicable.”
All sessions will be led by Phil Helmn, MG, program leader at the Bernhard Academy and author of the books The Power of People and the forthcoming The Power of You. His experience in team leadership and personal development ensures that the courses combine real-world insight with practical application.
“Because these courses are delivered online, we’re able to connect with participants all over the world,” Helmn said. “Leadership challenges may differ in context, but the skills are universal — and we’re proud to make them accessible to a global audience.”
The courses are designed for golf course managers and superintendents, deputies and assistants, golf club managers, golf professionals and team leaders or aspiring leaders across the golf industry.
BIGGA members are eligible for a 15 percent discount on the cost of each class.
