Greg Hall of Fairwood Golf & Country Club in Renton, Wash. and Harry Lovero of Orchard Valley Golf Course, Aurora, Ill. were big winners in a recent contest promoted by Bayer Environmental Science at the Golf Industry Show (GIS). Winning 42-and 57-inch Sharp LCD televisions respectively, Hall and Lovero were selected randomly from entries submitted by attendees who completed a plot tour survey during GIS in Anaheim, Calif.
Participants toured plots of untreated, diseased turfgrass as well as turf treated with Lynx fungicide, Tartan® insecticide and Chipco Signature fungicide from Bayer Environmental Science. For further comparison and to showcase the efficacy of the Bayer products, examples of turfgrass treated with fungicides of competing companies were also displayed.
“We had a great response to our plot tour,” said Mike Daly, business manager, fungicides for Bayer. “The television giveway was a great way to reward the attendees who completed the survey.”
