Bayer Environmental Science recently received registration for use of Tempo Ultra GC insecticide on golf course turf and landscape plants. The fast-acting pyrethroid product provides quick knockdown of multiple insect pests.
“Tempo Ultra insecticide offers broad-spectrum control of pests infesting turf, trees and ornamentals on residential and commercial sites, including golf courses,” said Nate Royalty, Ph.D., insecticide product development manager for Bayer. “One of the newest pests added to the Tempo Ultra label is emerald ash borer, which has recently been devastating ash trees in several north central states.”
Insect pests controlled by Tempo Ultra insecticide include aphids, cutworms, flies, grasshoppers, lace bugs, leafhoppers, mosquitoes, scale, spiders, thrips and webworms, among many other insects. Applications may be made to all turfgrass species, as well as landscape ornamentals including trees, shrubs, evergreens, flowers and foliage plants.
