Bayer has announced that Zach Lane will join the company's Environmental Science division as area sales manager in southwest Florida. In his new role, Lane will manage customer and distributor relationships for both Golf and Lawn & Landscape markets across the region.
“Lane brings a strong foundation of industry experience, having served as a golf course superintendent in the southwest Florida area for the past twelve years,” said Mike Ruizzo, regional sales manager. “His professional experience and industry expertise make him well-qualified to provide world-class support to Bayer and its customers.”
Lane most recently served as director of agronomy at Laurel Oak Country Club in Sarasota, Fla., where he successfully managed the multi-course private country club and oversaw the restoration of its East Course. Lane is knowledgeable in course preparation for PGA TOUR events and has maintained Bermudagrass in the southeastern United States.
“I have witnessed firsthand the Bayer commitment to customer service,” Lane said. “I look forward to joining a company culture that operates under a mission to improve quality of life through innovative science.”
Zach Lane is the current president of the Suncoast Golf Course Superintendent Association and holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Agronomy and Soil Sciences from Tennessee Technological University.
