BASF celebrating innovation at GIS

Breakfast tacos, panel discussions, giveaways part of booth activities


BASF is celebrating a variety of plant health innovation at the 2019 Golf Industry Show, including the 10-year anniversary of its Intrinsic brand fungicides and the unveiling of science that will help superintendents over the next decade. 
 
The BASF Generation Turf Booth #1939 will offer a first-hand look into BASF’s plans for the plant health game. The booth will feature giveaways, an Inside the Science Virtual Reality experience, live education from industry professionals and a BASF punching machine that demonstrates how individual power matches up to BASF solutions. 
 
Wednesday, Feb. 6
10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Breakfast Tacos
11 a.m. panel: Exploring New Fungicide Technology
Purdue’s Dr. Rick Latin, Clemson’s Dr. Bruce Martin, NC State’s Dr. Jim Kerns and BASF’s Kathie Kalmowitz will put their respective doctorates together to foretell what the future will hold for fungicide technology.

1 p.m. Panel: Surviving (thriving!) During a Course Reno
How do superintendents keep their cool during the inevitable course renovation? Hear Inverness Club’s John Zimmers, Bel-Air Country Club’s Justin DePippo, The Apawamis Club’s Mike McCormick and Torrey Pines’ Rich McIntosh discuss their experiences and how to survive – even thrive – during a renovation.

3 p.m. Panel: Celebrating 10 years of plant health
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the launch of the Intrinsic brand. Essex Country Club’s Eric Richardson, Oak Hill Country Club’s Jeff Corcoran, Martin and Kalmowitz will discuss great moments in plant health over the past decade.

BASF’s Jen Browning joins UC Riverside’s Dr. James Baird and Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club’s Josh Lewis to discuss latest trends and research.
