The San Diego Golf Course Superintendents Association concluded its annual meeting with the selection of its board of directors for 2006.

 

Barona Creek Golf Club's Sandy Clark, certified golf course superintendent, was elected president and will preside over the affairs of the association during his tenure. The entire slate of elected offices include (all are golf course superintendents unless listed otherwise):

 

The certification of "CGCS" is bestowed upon members of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) who have achieved prescribed levels of experience and continuing education.

 

The San Diego GCSA is comprised of the men and women who manage golf courses in the greater San Diego area.  Founded in 1962, its members are committed to providing a quality golf experience in an environmentally responsible manner. San Diego GCSA is one of 104 affiliated chapters of the GCSAA.
