To participate, superintendents need to order one jug of Arena from their distributor, make one application, fill out a one-page results form and mail the form, along with original proof of purchase invoice by Sept. 30. Superintendents who purchased Arena before this offer are grandfathered in and eligible for one $50 local GCSAA chapter donation per course after submitting their invoice and Arena results form.
As a bonus, superintendents interested in the program can get further details and/or enter an online drawing for a chance to win a BlackBerry 7100g wireless device and other prizes by going to www.arvesta.us/oneofakind.
The program runs through Sept. 30.
By Nov. 15, Arvesta will donate a check directly to local GCSAA chapters in the amount reflecting the total number of courses qualifying for the purchase credits from that chapter. The $50 donation credit to the local GCSAA chapter is limited to one jug purchase per course.
Promotion participants, as well as other interested superintendents, are invited to join a lunchtime toll-free phone conferences with Harry Niemczyk, Ph.D., professor emeritus in the department of entomology at The Ohio State University. Niemczyk will be discussing his observations on the state of grub control treatments, including clothianidin, the active ingredient in Arena. The toll-free phone conferences are scheduled for 1 p.m. (EST) for one-hour duration on June 22 and 29, and July 6. To join the conference, call 866-594-1598 and ask the operator for Conference ID No. 1128.
Note: Arena is currently not registered for sale or use in the states of California, Florida, Massachusetts and New York.
