In honor of its founder, Aquatrols Corp. has donated $10,000 to the Robert A. Moore Endowment Fund, administered through The Environmental Institute for Golf.
Aquatrols founder Robert A. Moore and his family made the donation on behalf of Aquatrols, Saturday, Feb. 14 at GCSAA's 75th International Golf Course Conference and Show in San Diego.
"We have always had a vision that went beyond our product sales to the contributions that we could make to the environment," said Moore.
The purpose of the endowment fund is to support applied research in optimizing the growing environment for golf course turf. The goal is to develop maintenance practices that result in quality golf course conditions with minimal impact on the environment and lowered consumption of resources.
"The level of conditioning on today's golf courses is made possible in part by the support of industry organizations such as Aquatrols," said GCSAA CEO Steve Mona, CAE. "The support of Aquatrols has had a significant impact on improvements to key GCSAA programs."
The endowment recognizes Robert Moore’s and Aquatrols’ contribution and ongoing commitment since 1955 to optimizing the turf growing environment through more effective use of water and other resources. For more on the Robert A. Moore Endowment Fund, visit www.eifg.org/fund/endowments.asp.
Aquatrols is a supporter at the Platinum Tee Club level of donors who contribute $5,000 or more annually to The Institute. Aquatrols is also a member of The Institute's Governor's Club for donating between $50,000 - $99,000 since 1987.
Aquatrols produces surfactant technologies and the benefits that they provide to turf managers. Their surfactant technologies enable turf managers to use resources like water, labor and turf management chemicals more efficiently - solving turf management problems and getting the results they desire.
