Paulsboro, N.J. – Winners of the second annual Aquatrols scholarship essay contest were announced.
Jaron Andrews was the grand prize winner, earning a $2,000 scholarship. He is the son of Marvin Andrews, superintendent at Isleta Eagle Golf Course in Albuquerque, N.M.
Sarah Shear received the runner-up scholarship of $1,000. She is the daughter of Howard Shear, owner/manager of Echobrook Nursery & Landscape in Worcester, Mass.
Winning essays will be posted on the Aquatrols website at www.aquatrols.com.
The essay competition is open to college-bound students of turf and landscape management professionals.
