AQUA-AID Solutions has added turf industry veteran and athletic field expert Sam Stimmel to its growing team.
Stimmel is a well-known figure in the Ohio and Pennsylvania turf business. He began his career in golf as a superintendent and grow-in specialist in Pennsylvania. He went on to serve in sales roles with the Scotts Company professional group, Profile Products and E.H. Griffith.
According to Sam Green of AQUA-AID Solutions, Stimmel will directly serve turf customers from western Pennsylvania to Michigan but will also play an important role helping the expanding company in the sports turf market.
“We want to make all four of our brands – AQUA-AID surfactants, Verde Cal Calcium and Potassium, Worm Power Turf, and Campey Imants – leaders in the sport turf business,” Green said. “Sam should be a huge help to us given his background and tremendous knowledge of both the turf management and construction sides.”
Stimmel is a Penn State turf graduate who served in leadership roles with both the Pennsylvania Turfgrass Council and the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation. He’s a longstanding member of both the GCSAA and the STMA. He will be based in Washington, Penn., and can be reached at 724-825-1906 or sstimmel@aquaaid.com.
“I am excited to join the AQUA-AID team,” Stimmel said. “The entire organization is driven by a basic philosophy of listening to their customers’ needs and responding by providing agronomically sound solutions and support. That’s a great approach.”
